FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The essentials about listings, search, and profile matching.
Do I need an account to search for jobs?
No. Anyone can browse, search, filter, and open job listings. An account is only needed for personal features such as saved jobs, alerts, a career profile, and match scores.
Where do the job listings come from?
OwlSearch collects publicly available roles from company career pages and links you back to the original application page. It does not repost recruiter listings or accept applications on an employer’s behalf.
How fresh are the listings?
Sources are checked regularly for new and closed roles. A listing can still change at its source between checks, so the employer’s application page is always the final reference.
What does semantic search do?
Semantic search looks at the meaning of your search, not only exact words. It can surface relevant roles that use different wording, while the standard search remains useful for precise titles, companies, or technologies.
How are profile match scores calculated?
After you review and activate a career profile, OwlSearch compares it with each ready job across areas such as role focus, skills, experience, seniority, qualifications, and overall alignment. The explanation shows what helped or limited the score.
Does a high match score guarantee an interview?
No. A match score is a comparison tool, not an eligibility or hiring decision. Employers may consider requirements and context that are not present in a listing or your profile.
Is OwlSearch free?
Yes. Job search is free for candidates, and no account is required to browse. If optional paid features are introduced in the future, they will be clearly identified before use.
Stop searching. Start finding.
Free forever for candidates. No account needed to search.
